Tahi

Tahi is a gorgeous, 8 month old, female, Staffy X. Good with dogs: Tahi is great with dogs she knows but may bark at unfamiliar dogs in public. With training, this is improving. Good with cats: Unknown. Good with children: Children aged 8 & older. Alone time: Short period only. Tahi's foster writes: Tahi is a people-loving cuddle bug who believes personal space is overrated. If you want a loyal companion who will happily follow you from room to room and curl up beside you at the end of the day, Tahi is ready to steal your heart. She’s the ultimate wingman and is happy doing just about anything, as long as she’s included. She’s always keen to jump in the car for an adventure. A big cuddly goof, Tahi is convinced she’s a lap dog and loves nothing more than snuggling up with her humans. She is currently fostered with two dogs and gets along beautifully with them however she can bark and feel nervous around unfamiliar dogs, but she’s been working hard on this and is becoming much more relaxed when passing dogs on walks or in public places. Tahi is a sensitive soul and can sometimes be unsure about new things at first. Bikes, scooters, prams and the vacuum cleaner can make her nervous, but with reassurance she settles well and is gaining confidence every day. Tahi is crate trained, fully toilet trained and understands basic obedience commands. She has also just completed teenage puppy school and has made fantastic progress learning to manage her impulses and behave calmly around other dogs. She can be enthusiastic when greeting people and is a strong girl, so she would be best suited to a home with older children (8+) and dog-savvy adults. Bob

Bob is a handsome, 3 year old, male, German Shepherd X Smithfield. Good with dogs: Yes. Good with cats: Unknown. Good with children: Yes. Alone time: 1 - 4 hours. Bob's foster writes: Bob is a kind, loving boy who brings the perfect mix of fun and affection. He loves zooming around outside, chewing his toys, and then heading straight back in for a cuddle, chest rub, or pat. Walks are a highlight of his day - especially when there’s plenty to sniff - and while he’s still polishing up his loose leash skills, he’s eager to learn. He’s also a big fan of car rides and is happiest in the boot or back seat where he can watch the world go by. Food and treats? Absolutely his love language. Bob is a total people dog. He greets everyone like a long-lost friend and has been wonderful meeting both kindergarten and school aged children. As a big boy, he may need gentle introductions with smaller children, but his friendly nature shines through. He’s fully toilet trained (as long as he has outdoor access) and even goes on cue with “toilet-empty” before bed. He knows “sit,” “wait,” “on your bed,” and “out,” and is learning “lie down.” He’s not crate trained but settles well when left with his bed, toys, treats, and the radio for company. If he sneaks a stray shoe or soft toy, a simple “uh uh” does the trick and he drops it straight away. Because he was underweight when he first came into care, he can’t resist unattended food - so keeping snacks out of reach is wise. Latte

Meet Latte, a cheeky 7 year old Labradoodle with a big personality and an even bigger love for his people. This sweet boy enjoys the simple things in life - walks, beach trips, pats, and a good groom - but above all else… his ball. Latte is truly ball obsessed and will happily carry it everywhere he goes. He’s a clever lad too, knowing a long list of commands including sit, touch, look, kiss, paw, toilet, water, lie down (sometimes), belly rub (he can’t resist), and of course his favourite phrase: “Where’s your ball?!” Latte is happiest when he’s close to his people. If you’re working from home, he’ll be snoozing beside you. If you’re in the garden, he’ll be nearby playing with his ball. Car ride? He’ll curl up in the back knowing he’s safe with you. He walks nicely on a loose leash, is fully toilet trained, sleeps through the night, and can be left alone for periods, though he would thrive in a home where someone is around for most of the day. Latte is looking for an ADULT ONLY HOME with a tidy environment, as he has a habit of “sampling” things like socks or toys left lying around. Willow's foster writes: Willow is a cuddly girl who loves nothing more than snuggling into your neck at any time of the day. She can be a little nervous in new situations and prefers to observe what’s going on before getting involved. As the weeks go on and she continues to explore the world in a positive way, her confidence is growing more and more. Willow absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys playing with her littermates. She is respectful with other dogs and listens well. She’s also beginning to discover how fun toys can be - balls, squeaky toys, tug games, and anything she can chew on are quickly becoming favourites. Willow spends her days at school with her foster mum where she happily meets children and staff, enjoying plenty of pats and cuddles. She has also attended puppy cuddle events and even visited the local hospital to give patients some puppy love, so she is very well socialised. His favourite place to be is as close to his people as possible - especially tucked right into your neck. He absolutely adores being around his humans and will often find creative ways to get closer to them (he’s quite convinced he can climb over almost anything!). Sometimes he comes running toward you with smiling eyes and a wagging tail that makes it very clear you’re his favourite person in the world. Bandit is a playful pup who loves chasing his sister and running around with his foster fur sibling. Balls and anything he can play tug-of-war with are his favourite toys. Medical history: Skin condition - managed on a raw food diet by Go Raw Pet Food NZ. Whisky's foster writes: Whisky is the sweetest soul, and all she really wants is to be loved. She’s a gentle, sensitive girl who thrives with a calm and patient approach. Once she bonds with her people, she becomes a true “glue dog,” happiest simply being by your side. She can take a few days to feel comfortable in a new environment and may be a little shy with pats at first, but once she feels safe her personality shines. Her confidence is growing all the time - she even bravely ventured a few inches into the sea recently! Whisky is still learning how to “be a dog,” especially when it comes to playing and fetch, but she’s eager to learn and loves treats. She already knows how to sit, offer a paw and come when called in a familiar environment. Whisky is fully house trained, confidently uses a dog door, and sleeps beautifully in her own bed through the night (unless invited up for cuddles!). She loves her food and responds well to treat-based training. On walks, Whisky likes to stay close to her person, especially when new people or dogs approach. This provides her with reassurance and confidence. Whisky has a low energy level and would thrive in a calm, patient home where life is peaceful and predictable.
